VISION: (Ephesians 4:11-17) To equip the five-fold ministry in order to perfect and mature the Saints, thereby preparing the Saints for their Kingdom assignment.
MISSION: To establish a Bible College which is centered on the message, “Victory of Faith”, which was given to Bishop Michael W. Lewis Sr. This message teaches the Saint how to live in “Total Victory” in every area of their life by focusing the students on books which teach empowerment, restoration, and sound doctrine. The students will be able to take the message of “Total Victory” to the harvest field.
Victory Bible College is a ministry of First Victory Cathedral of Tampa Bay. The founder is Bishop Michael W. Lewis Sr. It originally was called the School of the Prophet, which began in 1994. Out of this school there have been Pastors, Prophets, Evangelist, and Teachers ordained for ministry.
Bishop Michael W. Lewis Sr. welcomes anyone to attend who feel as though they have been called to the Five-Fold Ministry. His only requirement is for that person to be serious about ministry. Effective February 18, 2012, the first class will be conducted, and the School of the Prophet will officially be known as Victory Bible College.
Structure: The College is divided into four classes: Freshman, Sophomore, Junior and Senior. Each class is given five lessons to complete each class. These lessons will include a book report, quiz, instructional lesson from the text book, class lecture and a question and answer session. Since classes meet once a month classes will be held 90 minutes. The student will be required to complete 15 hours of classroom instruction. Practicum instructions i.e. Evangelism, conferences, seminars, bible studies, etc will not be credited toward classroom instructional hours.
Staff: The staff is made up of those who have completed the School of the Prophets and are currently working in Ministry. The Staff are those who have demonstrated, through their own study, to excel in their Christian walk and have been found to be equipped to lead a class. All Staff are under the leadership and oversight of the School Chancellor.
Tuition: When the Lord placed on the heart of Bishop Lewis to start the Bible College he wanted it affordable. Tuition is on a sliding scale which means that tuition fees are based on the student’s income however the minimum tuition fee is $25.00. Each student is responsible for paying their tuition monthly when they attend class.
Certificates, diplomas, degrees and ministerial credentials: Those who successfully complete their second year of college to include their practicum and Legacy Leadership School will receive a Certificate in Ministry Studies and can then apply for Minister License. Those who complete the four year study will receive the Bachelor of Ministry Studies and can apply for Ordination for the office which they have been called in.
Transitioning from a Ministry Class to Bible College: Why Bible College? God is evaluating His people for a more intense structural learning environment. The enemy is getting wiser in his deception of the Saints therefore the Saints must sharpen their minds and their biblical knowledge in order to further defend the faith. A Bible College brings the intensity, structure, and depth to equip the Believer to better fight the Good fight of faith. In these last days there will come more of a need for more colleges. There colleges will need to be built around the Leaders with a Vision and a Message for the Body.
Bible College is held on the 4th week of each month.
